MAINTAINING RESULT
Scaling (teeth cleaning) and treatment of periodontal problems
Cleaning is done annually or in special cases every six months. During this process, scale (stone) and pigments are removed. This is followed by polishing of the teeth. Instructions are given for good and effective sealing of the dental barrier. There is a demonstration of the correct use of the toothbrush and other helpful and effective means, such as mouthwash, dental floss, interdental brushes in order to avoid tartar and gingivitis (gum disease).
Blockages
Commonly called fillings are done to clean a decayed tooth and restore the worn surface. Modern and excellent quality resins are used which offer highly aesthetic results.
Cosmetic Dentistry
Whitening
It is one of the most common aesthetic interventions. It is done after cleaning the teeth. The whitening agent acts on the enamel of the tooth giving a sparkling smile. It is done either in the doctor's office or at home by the patient himself with personalized tablets, or a combination of both treatments, if this is deemed necessary by the dentist.
Porcelain veneers
Tooth imperfections are corrected to give a harmonious effect to the dental barrier. They are made with the cooperation of the dental laboratory and result in straight, beautifully anatomical teeth.
Resin Faces
Aesthetic intervention by the dentist mainly on the front teeth. It is made with high-performance resins using the interlayer technique. In this way, defects of some teeth are corrected immediately at a lower cost than porcelain veneers.
Prosthetic restoration
Prosthetic restoration of missing or badly damaged or multi-sealed teeth. In these cases, crowns (usually cases) are made, which cover only one tooth, when it is denervated, multi-sealed or both. In this way, we protect the existing tooth from masticatory forces, so as to increase the length of stay of the particular tooth in the dental barrier.
When one or more teeth are missing, we choose to create a bridge, where single crowns are joined by adding the missing teeth. In this case, the adjacent teeth are ground to be used as supports. They can be porcelain metal or all porcelain.
Implants
They are used to replace missing teeth or as support for complete dentures. Adjacent teeth are not affected. They are placed inside the jaw, they are integrated gradually acquiring new bone around the perimeter. This implies that it takes time for bone regeneration and integration. Crowns or bridges or complete dentures are then placed on implants.
Full or partial dentures (commonly dentures)
In this way, total or partial anodontia is treated. We have functional and aesthetic restoration of the mouth. These constructions are also made on implants, giving better retention and comfort in the mouth.
Endodontic Treatment (Denervation)
Almost daily, patients come to clinics with acute excruciating pain or milder chronic pain, pain with cold or heat, swelling or inability to touch the opposing tooth when closing the mouth. These are the teeth that show inflammation of the nerve or from caries or re-caries. These incidents need immediate treatment at the clinic. We have all the required means (machines, root canal cleaning solutions) as well as a digital x-ray machine to control the whole process.
Periostephanitis of enclosed or semi-enclosed wisdom teeth
Peristephanitis is the inflammation of the mucous membrane that covers the wisdom teeth, it is characterized as a form of periodontal infection, which can affect the adjacent teeth, the cheek and the tongue. It is characterized by pain, swelling (internally and/or externally), difficulty opening the mouth, maybe even fever. It is diagnosed and treated urgently with local antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and antibiotic therapy. The wisdom teeth, when they present peristephanitis, depending on the case, may even lead to extraction.
